The tradition of giving gifts to others began when the 3 Wise Men came to witness the birth of Jesus Christ bearing gifts. These gifts were Thoughtful, From the Heart, and Purposeful. This Christmas Season let’s do the same in our giving to others. Here are some examples of how our gifts can be Thoughtful, From the Heart, and Purposeful.
Thoughtful – Gather your family together and ask everyone to create a personal gift list of 3 – 5 gifts valuing $25 of less. After shopping, go have lunch together as a family. On Christmas Day, share gifts together.
Give From the Heart – Donate as a family to the North Texas Food Bank and take advantage of the matching gift opportunity from the Beaumont Foundation of America and Sammons Enterprises. All gifts given by December 31, 2023, will triple in value up to $200,000. That means for every $1 you donate it will provide 9 meals. A Purposeful Gift – Shop for gifts at the Metrocrest Services Resale Store. The Resale Store sells gently used items and the proceeds from each sale help fund services that Metrocrest Services provide. Visit the Metrocrest Resale Store at 2661 Midway Road #207 Carrollton, TX 75006, and shop with a “purpose”.
